Product Overview

The Specific Surface Area (SSA) Tester measures the total surface area per unit mass of material, including both external and internal surface areas, with results expressed in square meters per gram (m²/g) according to national standards. This instrument utilizes the ventilation method principle to determine the time (t) required for air to pass through a sand column, then calculates the actual specific surface area of casting silicon sand samples using a precise formula.

Designed for compliance with GB/T 9442-1998 standard "Silicon Sand for Casting" and Appendix B, this tester accurately measures porosity and specific surface area of casting silicon sand (both raw and recycled). It features:
